Born and raised in South Philadelphia and a 1980 graduate of Temple University I was a frequent visitor to the Poconos from the early 70's and enjoyed rustic tent camping, hiking, and canoeing in the Pennsylvania state parks. It was my dream to one day make the Poconos my home. In 1987 I took one step closer to my dream when I purchased my first home in Drums, PA along the Nescopeck Creek. It was all I imagined and more. Finally in 1994 I took the plunge and moved to Jim Thorpe, PA and became actively involved in the community, serving four years as Treasurer for the Historical Society and working on numerous other projects and committees. 1997 took me to Pocono Resorts Realty as Treasurer/Bookkeeper and at the urging of the owner and broker of the company, Robert P. Ludgate, I became a Realtor. Selling over a million my first year, I had found my true calling combining my love and knowledge of the Poconos with my love of helping people find and follow their dreams. In 2005 I became Associate Broker and was promoted to Senior Vice President, as well as serving as Treasurer. In addition, in 2004 thru 2008 I was named "Top Producer" garnering three awards. A self-proclaimed workaholic I now live in Split Rock with my husband, Andy Hanko, also a licensed Realtor with Pocono Resorts Realty, and our two rescued Greyhounds, Dodi and Quintas.
